ACCREDITATION & CERTIFICATION
A proud member of AEQ (Aventure Écotourisme Québec), B46 has received the “Quality-Safety” accreditation, and all guides are certified in Remote Area First Aid and Off-Road Vehicle Safety.
“QUALITY-SAFETY” ACCREDITATION
The “Quality-Safety Accredited” seal is a mark of trust for all travelers—local or international—looking to take part in nature excursions or expeditions. As a “Quality-Safety” accredited company by AEQ, B46 demonstrates its commitment to the following criteria:
- Strict safety standards (including a low guide-to-client ratio…)
- Specialized local guides
- Quality equipment
- Liability insurance
- In-depth knowledge of the natural environment
- An enriching and authentically Quebec experience
As a nature and adventure tourism provider, B46 chose to take part in the “Quality-Safety” accreditation program developed by Aventure Écotourisme Québec with financial support from the Ministry of Tourism (MTO). Designed to maximize the safety of tourists engaging in nature and adventure activities in Quebec, the accreditation includes more than 60 strict minimum standards, as well as activity-specific requirements, technical training for guides, a business inspection process, and mystery visits.
The Aventure Écotourisme Québec “Quality-Safety Accredited” seal certifies that B46 adheres to the highest safety and quality standards set by Quebec’s adventure and ecotourism professionals. This label highlights the efforts we make every day to offer the very best outdoor experiences to our clients. B46 is committed to providing all the necessary conditions for travelers to fully enjoy their adventure tourism experience, while actively promoting environmental respect.
CERTIFICATION IN REMOTE AREA SAFETY TECHNIQUES
As the leading provider of remote area safety training in Canada, SIRIUSMEDx offers remote first aid courses and practical training programs to meet the needs of industries, governments, scientific exploration teams, and outdoor professionals.
The 40-hour Advanced Remote First Aid certification delivered by SIRIUSMEDx is now considered the minimum standard for outdoor professionals working in wilderness settings. It is highly recommended for anyone operating in remote areas. The course content goes well beyond standard urban first aid programs and focuses specifically on administering care in isolated regions out of reach of emergency medical services.
ORV GUIDE CERTIFICATION
All B46 team guides are certified in Off-Road Vehicle Safety Guiding.
Developed by the AEQ label and a committee of experts—including our own participation—this training aims to equip those who lead off-road vehicle groups with a safety-first approach before, during, and after the excursion, while also encouraging participants to be more safety-conscious.
Thanks to these off-road vehicle safety concepts, guides improve their ability to:
- Identify risks associated with guided ORV excursions
- Manage those risks safely
- Continuously improve the safe supervision of ORV groups
As of December 31, 2021, this certification is now mandatory for guiding ORV tours.
